Australian
wine industry associations
The industry has a network of regional, state and national
associations to represent grower and winemaker interests.
These interests are not confined to political matters as several
of the larger regions support industry development and extension
personnel. In addition growers and winemakers have a keen
interest in R&D at the local needs assessment level and
on the GWRDC’s Priorities Reference Group. Industry
personnel are also on management boards of such bodies as
the GWRDC, the CRC for Viticulture, and the Australian Wine
and Brandy Corpoation (AWBC).
