GWRDC Regional

GWRDC Regional is a program that is used to fund regionally specific extension and adoption activities in Australian wine regions to ensure extension funds spent in regional areas achieve maximum impact through the development of strategic extension and adoption plans.

GWRDC Regional differs from previous extension programs such as Regional Innovation and Technology Adoption (RITA), by having the responsibility for planning and generating local extension and adoption activities driven by the regions.

While research is still important and will be funded through the annual call for applications, funding from GWRDC Regional will support projects that focus on research findings being turned into practice for regionally specific issues through innovation and extension.
