Elextrolux Appetite for Excellence supports and develops Australia's young chefs, young waiters and young restaurateurs. 

Applications are open to career focused young hospitality professionals, currently residing in Australia and working full-time in the restaurant industry. All of the entries are assessed by a judging panel comprising some of Australia's leading chefs and restaurateurs. Once entries have been received, each judging panel selects participants from each state.

Two to three young chefs and waiters are selected from each state and four to five young restaurateurs are selected from around Australia.

    Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd has no interest in joining the bidding for Foster's Group Ltd's wine business, the chief executive of Australia's top soft drinks bottler said in an interview on Thursday. "I have absolutely no interest in the wine business," managing director Terry Davis told reporters in New York on Thursday. Foster's, Australia's largest brewer, rejected a surprise bid for the world's second-largest wine business on Wednesday, but left the door open to better offers. (External link)
