Innovators Network
Through the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry funded Water & Vine Program, the GWRDC was able to establish the 'Innovators Network' - a network of regional wine industry service providers (Industry Development Officers, Grower Liaison Officers, Agribusiness representatives, Chemical Resellers, Consultants, State Government Extension Officers, etc), who are an important conduit in the extension of knowledge and tools back out into the levy paying growers' community of the Australian wine industry.
The GWRDC has successfully established seven regional Innovator Network groups across South Eastern Australia within the Murray Darling Basin (Riverland, Murray Valley, Riverina, SA Central, SA North, NE Victoria and Cowra) and is hoping to add a further three 'Innovator Network' groups in 2009/10 in the Hunter Valley (NSW), Limestone Coast (SA South) and Western Australia (Bunbury and Swan Valley).
The aim is to visit each of these existing and new regions at least once a year, to ensure that these groups are actively engaged and participating in the 'Innovator Network' program. Innovator Network resources can be found on this website under the Innovator Network Resources tab.
